Relationship capital at Apollo Tyres is nurtured through proactive and meaningful hyper-local stakeholder engagements with our neighbouring local communities. The focus area of these initiatives spans a 35-45 km radius of the manufacturing locations.

Driving progress through collective ownership is what strengthens stakeholder relationships at Apollo Tyres. Initiatives are designed to keep in mind the local needs of the community.

INDIA’S LOCAL INITIATIVE

1. Access to Potable Water

Apollo Tyres works towards maximising access to purified drinking water around our manufacturing locations through the installation of RO drinking water plants.

2. Eco-Restoration of Ponds

Apollo Tyres identified, restored, and enhanced several ponds around its manufacturing locations through pond deepening, de-silting, bunding and maintenance drives, which enhance lives around them improve aquatic biodiversity These eco-restoration activities have also enabled employment for local people.

3.Support to Anganwadi& Public Health Centre (PHC)

Apollo Tyres provides infrastructure support to PHCs and Anganwadi centres at the Andhra Pradesh location, with the aim to create positive impact in the lives of its stakeholders.

EUROPE’S LOCAL INITIATIVES

1. Blood Donation Camps

The Company partners with leading organisations like Red Cross to organise life-saving blood donation camps at the Hungary plant location.

2. Tyre Donation

The company takes pride in its contribution to healthcare through donation of tyres to Gyöngyös Ambulance Service and to Hungarian National Blood Transfusion Service.  Apollo Tyres has been felicitated by the National Ambulance Service for its continual support in fighting the Covid-19 pandemic. 

3. Summer Camp

Apollo Tyres organises educational summer camps for children at the Hungary location. These camps are specifically designed to improve the physical and mental development of children.

4. Mask Donation

Apollo Tyres proactively undertook several measures to aid prevention of contracting of Covid-19 to Go the Distance in eradicating the disease. The Company donated masks to help lessen its shortage at hospitals in the Netherlands.
