The clear objective of all CSR activities is to have a positive impact on everyday lives of our key stakeholders and on business. The organisation has been executing CSR Projects around its facilities/ project sites and also extending them to other locations as identified necessary. All our programmes are developed in partnership with the community to ensuring that they cater to specific needs and to inculcate a sense of ownership amongst the community members. The CSR programmes and activities are aligned to national and international development goals, in particular related to Health, Livelihood & Environment.
The CSR initiatives of organisation are in two themes Environment and Social (which has health and community development). Within the themes there are 4 core areas of work:

Further, the organisation also undertakes philanthropic initiatives – under Taru Foundation
Apollo Tyres is committed towards ensuring overall environmental sustainability. Its aim is to make eco-friendly behaviour, green thinking and resource conservation a matter of habit across its key stakeholders. The umbrella environment initiative is called HabitAt Apollo.
As a part of our environmental sustainability journey, we have initiated a number of projects on themes of Biodiversity Conservation and Solid Waste Management and Sanitation.
In addition to the above there are a few Local Initiatives across around our manufacturing locations.These are Watershed Management and Renewable Energy Proliferation projects.
The organisation recognises the importance of its stakeholders and the society it operates in. It undertakes initiatives focused on sustainable development. Within this, there are two areas: Healthcare for Trucking Community and Community Development.
Few local initiatives like Road Safety Awareness and Computer Literacy are also initiated in this category.
The organisation also supports social causes through Taru Foundation in India. These Philanthropic initiatives are undertaken in both APMEA and EA regions, and cover areas such as health, education and support to disadvantaged communities.
